Hackney Giving Cost of Living Support
Supporting families through practical assistance, community connection, and wellbeing support during challenging times.

About The Project
The Mummy’s Day Out initiative at Kindhaus, delivered as part of the Hackney Giving Cost of Living Project, was created to support mothers and families facing the challenges of rising living costs.

The project provided a warm, child-friendly space where mothers could access practical support, enjoy nutritious meals, connect with other families, and receive guidance on available community resources. Through meaningful connections and targeted support, the initiative helped reduce isolation while strengthening resilience and wellbeing within the community.

Special Thanks To Our Partners

All mums and children received books for their childrenBookTrust is the UK's largest children's reading charity, dedicated to getting children reading.

All mothers were able to meet a clinician from the Ocean Menatl Health service and were given information about the service.

During this project we became community partners with the ZSL Zoo to support families in accessing discounted tickets to the zoo through the community access scheme.
